About

Welcome!  This is a journal of our family’s travels and little adventures…

Our family of four lives in Singapore…

A few years ago I left the banking sector and I noticed that it’s getting more and more difficult to remember some things including the details of our trips abroad and those little adventures here in Singapore, which I truly treasure.  They say that’s the hazard of stopping work to become a housewife, a stay-at-home mum, a chauffeur, a cook, a 24-hour nurse, a teacher and a storyteller 🙂 .  But I was determined to not easily forget our recent adventures and to recall the older ones and so I started writing about them in this blog…

I’d like to thank my older son, Benjamin, who has ‘volunteered’ to become my text and photo editor.  I think he is doing a great job esp in being my guest writer on some posts.

My husband is my biggest supporter and he encourages me to write more.

And my little one, Joaquin, is my no. 1 critic, believe it or not.

Anyway, I do hope you’ll enjoy reading my posts and perhaps find some travel inspiration, and if you have questions, do ask and I’ll try to answer them.  Don’t hesitate to email at :

  1. Hi! I feel honoured. I hope you’ll enjoy reading them. It’s a 12-day road trip in the south island with focus on family activities and really to just relax and ‘smell the flowers’.

  2. You have a great blog here Amor. Very blessed to have such a wonderful family that you can enjoy the rest of the world with. I’m so glad you stopped by my blog. It’s great to meet you and look forward to sharing many more stories together. We are actually heading over to Singapore soon for our next family holiday. We should definitely organise a coffee together?? Lorelle.X

  3. Thanks so much for following Oh, the Places We See. We, too, were a family of four — still are, I suppose. But our sons have grown and our family has become larger — which we love! Best wishes to you for making many memories through your travels.
